Appliance Disconnection & Reconnection Waiver Agreement
This waiver sets out the terms under which Rowan Removals Ltd (“the Company”) agrees to provide assistance with the disconnection and/or reconnection of domestic appliances, including but not limited to washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, and other white goods (“the Services”), at the express request of the Customer.
1. Scope of Services
The Company offers disconnection and/or reconnection of domestic appliances strictly as a goodwill, non-professional service and not as a qualified plumbing, electrical, or installation service.
• The Services are limited to basic plug, socket, hose, and tap connections.
• The Company does not assess, test, or guarantee the safety or condition of any appliance or property system.
• The Company is not qualified to install, test, or handle gas appliances.
2. Customer Acknowledgements
By booking Rowan Removals Ltd, the Customer confirms and agrees that:
• They have requested the Company to assist with the Services at their own risk.
• The property’s plumbing and electrical infrastructure is safe, accessible, and fit for use.
• All appliances are in safe, working order and have no known faults or damage.
• They have disclosed any relevant hazards, obstructions, or prior issues with plumbing or electrics.
3. Limitation of Liability
The Customer understands and accepts that:
• The Company and its staff will exercise reasonable care when providing the Services.
• The Company shall not be held liable for:
• Water leaks, flooding, or damage to floors, walls, fixtures, or fittings caused during or after disconnection/reconnection;
• Malfunction or damage to appliances following reconnection;
• Damage arising from worn or faulty pipework, seals, valves, taps, hoses, or connections;
• Any other indirect or consequential loss or damage.
This waiver does not exclude liability for:
• Personal injury or death caused by the Company’s negligence.
This clause is in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK consumer protection laws.
Delivery Into Property Waiver Policy
Purpose:
This waiver outlines the terms under which Rowan Removals Ltd agrees to deliver furniture or other items into a customer’s property, rather than leaving them at the front door or designated entrance.
1. Scope of Delivery
At the customer’s request, Rowan Removals Ltd may deliver items inside the premises and place them in a room of choice, subject to safe and reasonable access.
This is a courtesy service and may involve:
• Carrying large or bulky items through hallways, staircases, and doorways.
• Navigating tight spaces or difficult access routes.
• Placing items on flooring that may be easily marked, scratched, or damaged.
2. Customer Responsibility
The customer must ensure:
• Clear and safe access throughout the property.
• Protection of flooring, carpets, door frames, or other fixtures (if desired) prior to delivery.
• That the items requested to be delivered indoors will fit through all access points, including doors, stairs, and hallways.
3. No Liability
By signing this waiver, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:
• Rowan Removals Ltd will not be held responsible for any accidental damage to:
• Walls, door frames, ceilings, bannisters, or skirting boards
• Flooring or carpets (e.g., scuff marks, indentations, dirt, or scratches)
• Fixtures, fittings, or decorations
• The items being delivered (especially if access is tight or awkward)
• Rowan Removals Ltd reserves the right to refuse delivery inside the premises if the team deems it unsafe or likely to result in damage.
4. Access Limitations
If the property includes:
• Narrow doorways or corridors
• Low ceilings or light fittings
• Steep, winding, or narrow stairs
• Fragile flooring (e.g., polished wood, tile, or luxury carpet)
…it is the customer’s responsibility to highlight these risks before delivery begins.
5. Waiver Acknowledgement
I, the undersigned, understand the risks associated with moving large or bulky items into a property. I hereby authorise Rowan Removals Ltd to proceed with this service at my request and accept full responsibility for any damage that may result.
I waive all rights to hold Rowan Removals Ltd or its employees liable for accidental damage during the delivery process.
